Hey, does anybody still watch the Homestar Runner intro when they go to the site? I do from time to time but not that much anymore...

That thing's a classic, I still watch it every once in a while. Favorite part is "ok guys I'm really gonna get it this time. seriously. (go ahead, we're filming.) I'm homestar and this is a website!"

Ya, I watch it occasionally(sp?). My friend at school watches it all the time. (well at least that's the way it seems, because it is the only thing he quotes)

I'm sorry if I got this wrong, but I think that Puphles is talking about the Homestarrunner Website Introduction, and not the "First time here?" cartoon.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't watch it anymore.

I watch it sometimes when I'm bored but otherwise never.

I watch it, but only because I have to tweak the volume. I don't want to go in and suddenly hear:
TOONS!
Agh! My ears.

I watch it every now and then, I treat it like a regular toon.

I like to watch it from time to time. Mostly because I like to hear Homestar say,
Homestar Runner wrote:
Everybody! Da de da de da!
I know it says wrote instead if said, but play along.

I was orrigionally referring to the Everybody Everybody intro, but the First Time Here? thing is good too. They should updade the end of that thing...

Er yeah good point you're right. But either way, I still watch the intro a little since it's all cutesy and stuff. Sometime I'm thinking to make an animated icon for my avatar of Homestar running with technically correct form :)

Yeah, I also used to watch it every single time to tweak the volume. But now I always watch the "*.swf" files, so I just type in "homestarrunner.com/main5.swf".

I don't even bother with the main page usually, I just go straight for the email menu.

The "First Time Here?" video is awexome! That is the one cartoon that hooked me into HSR. I like to watch it occaionally just for extra laughs. I can just about quote the whole thing. It's funny how Homestar can mess up "Welcome to Homestarrunner.com" that many times:
Welcome to Homestarrunner.net "it's dot com"
    Welcome to Something.com
    Welcome aboard the USS Homestarrunner.com
    Bienvinidos a Homestarrunner.com
    This is a Website

Amongst others

As for the introduction, I rarely watch it. When I first went to Whateverthatwebsiteis.com, I thought that the "First Time Here?" video was the introduction. As you could imagine, I was very disappointed. Ever since then, I haven't felt the need to watch the introduction to Homestarrunner.org.

I'll watch it from time to time, just to see if they've changed it. I dunno, I just keep expecting it to change at some point. Maybe to the "Mario Paint'D" version you find in the museum.

It's kinda funny to see this topic posted, cus I was actually thinking about starting a thread on this yesterday at work.

I'll watch it if a REALLY need a quick H.R fix. It's just heartwarming to hear "Everybody! Everybody!" Or maybe that was a heart attack. Whatever. :kot:

I always like having a quick watch. You don't often see Cherry Greg, the director, too often nowadays... :ehsteve:

That's the first time here? cartoon. We're talking about the intro where you hear Homestar attempt to sing.

I watch it now and then, singing for the benifit and annoyance of my brother Zach.

It's a nice thing for the new people, and a huge reminisce for the old.

And, since this thread seems to have morphed somewhat into a discussion of the "First Time Here?" toon, I just have to say that it is awesome. I watch it all the time, about as often as any of the other cartoons.

I've always thought he was just trying to imitate the song. Like what Strong Bad did in the first Lappy email.

I didn't think it matters which one we talk about here. Because in a way, they are both introductions to Homestar Idiot...
