Are you sure it was in Nintendo Power? I highly doubt that's what it will look like.

That's what I saw too--the design you showed, Kell, is a concept design made by one of many Nintendo fans.

wow, concept designes by a person? what softwear do i need to do that. other than that, that thing isnt gonna sell, what with the PS3 and the X-box 360, and the PSP, its not gonna do well in the market, itl probably end up like the dreamcast: Dead as whatever is dead. after this year, nintendo will be far off in the region of handheld devices, such as: no more of em. and in a few years, X-box will become a computer, and a little farther off, Sony will rule over the market in all feilds. so people, take ur stocks on Nintendo and sell a lot of it, not all of it, most of it. leave a little in there just in case, and put the rest in Sony gaming devision................ man, im 14 and i know theese things???? man, im no ordinary guy!

Personally, I think the the Revolution might come in 2nd or an extremely close 2nd place in this generation. We have yet to know the true revolutionary aspect on this system. But, we do know it will have online capabilities. It also needs to rely on 3rd party support and great launch titles, such as Super Smash Brothers(which would rock online :) ).

This is just going to be another one of those big console races, like PS2, X-Box and Gamecube. They all did fine.

And I think Nintendo will do just fine, just like last time.

And don't tell me what to do with my stock. :)

This gonna rock. I can't wait for the Revo. I can't for E3. *dies of anticipation*

Oh, and that pic isn't real....at all. Nintendo said yesterday that it would play horizontally or vertically. But.......how is it going to play vertically with a circular base? ;) And it can't block the controller. ;)

It definitely was not in Nintendo Power. But the Revolution sounds awexome anyway.

As if I'd say anything else...

Nope. I've subscribed to Nintendo Power since Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker came out, and I've never seen that pic.

Same here. I've had Nintendo Power since the Metroid Prime issue. Practically nothing about the Revolution. Though I think they mentioned it in the last issue (the Pokemon Emerald one).

To be quite frank, that is absolutely the most ugly and disgusting thing I've ever seen.

Again, that is NOT the Nintendo Revolution, just like this isn't the PS3.

On another note: Have you guys seen the mock-up video of the Revolution that's on IGN? It's fake but it is basically saying the Revolution could be a Vurtual Reality Helmet. As strange as that sounds, it could probably be cool if you had a large space to play in.

Back on Topic: If that was the Revolution then I'm Matt Chapman ;) .

From Nintendo's brief description of the Revolution being the size of 3 DVD stacked cases, I doubt that it would be a "helmet", per se; though knowing Nintendo and their accessory-making tendencies, I wouldn't doubt that there could be a helmet plug-in.

By the way, great avatar! I love Super Mario 64.

No, that's not what I meant. I mean it is fake but the way the guy did it was amazing. So yeah, the guy said it was fake but since it is the "Revolution", it could be an add-on like you mentioned.(That sortof didn't make sense, I know)

Ehh.. I don't have a looping avatar--Sparkle who posted rather closely to me has one, but not me.

The revolution has begun. Commence crazy fanboy laughter.

(For those of you that are confuzzled, that is the patent for the revolution. Don't believe me? Look at the bottom and note that it was patented by Nintendo Of America. For some reason it's coded as "Odama".)

That means this video ( http://redruth.greenbean.org/~ben/4CR/N ... lution.wmv ) could quite possibly be real. But I doubt it.

E3'D! Of course it will. I knew that Nintendo wouldn't take the PS3 and the Xbox 360 lying down. Nintendo always releases their stuff at E3.

Day-year-old Engadget'd!!!

Just gorgeous. Though I love the PS3, I've got to say that the Revolution tops them all in looks.

[EDIT]- Not sure if there is already a topic on this, but apparently there is also a Game-Boy Micro. Wow.

I'm kinda surprised that they're using CD-sized 12cm discs rather than some funky size like the GameCube did. I'm also impressed that they managed (read: bothered) to build a slot-loading drive that will take discs of both sizes.

The "all-access gaming" thing is interesting. It looks like Nintendo is the first company to finally realize that people are still interested in playing 5- and 10- and 20-year-old games.

It will be interesting to see which of the new consoles will spawn the most active modding community.

My opinion on small console systems is, well, don't. I like at least a medium-sized console that way I can feel I like I am carrying a power-packed machine.

Ew. All a big console says to me is "old". Like my sister's old Buick LeSabre. Give me thin, sleek, easy to hold in one hand, bite-sized.
