Okay, guys. Now that we have more information on the next gen systems, I want to know which one (if you had to choose just one) would you get, and/or which you think will sell better.

For me, I'd have to say I'm really looking forward to the revolution. It's probably the most inovative system we've seen in a long time.

I can't wait for the PS3.

I got a chance to play the 360, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Not to mention the game I was playing was awesome.

I'm stickign with the Revolution, though I haven't heard much of an update since I alst checked. I've always supported Nintendo, and I can't wait for the big Mario game for the Revolution.

I'm going to say 360 is what I'm waiting for. But honsetly, half the reason for it is everyone blindly supporting Nintendo. I haven't really seen enough of it yet, so I may change my answer but until then, I stand firm.

No way am I ever getting a 360, not after the debacle that was the original Xbox, but I am heartily looking forward to the PS3 and Revolution. They're going to have the best games, by far. The 360 will have Halo 3.

I mean, the new Final Fantasy games were enough to sell me on PS3, and Revolution's expected game library (Zelda, Metroid, Mario) is more than enough to make me want it.

I'll probably have to wait something like a year before I get one of them, though. Depends on which one is cheaper.

I doubt I'll buy either one of them...but in about three years I'll go and buy the Revolution...I do love my SNES games...

I like the PS3... I'm not really leaning towards ANY of the systems, though.

I like the idea of being able to play old nintendo games on the revolution, but I wish it had the ability to do so with the old cartridges/discs..
Oh well.

Either way, I'm-a wait a while. I'd say that, if you wait until about June or July, you'll be able to get any of these systems and 2 games for maybe $10 or $15 more than the price you'd pay right now for just the console.

I like the PS3 better. They're taking their time with it, unlike the 360.

Well, as my favorite series are only on Nintendo consoles, I'm so gonna get Revolution. I haven't found any reason to get the other ones yet.

PS3 definately.

My brother has an XBox, and I've never played the Suck Cube(BURN), so I'll just go with my compadre Sony on this one.

Having never played a GameCube, I suppose you're perfectly qualified to evaluate it, aren't you?

If you've never played it, you've never played the greatest figthing game EVER!

Amen my brother. Amen...

So, anyway, I'm taking it you know what my next-gen console is going to be. It starts with a 'R' and ends with a 'N.' -50 disk points to whoever doesn't get this. :)

Xbox 360, for 2 very simple reasons:

- PS(1/2/3) fanboys
- Not enough is known about the Revolution currently for me to choose it

I'm looking at either the PS3 or the X-Box360. Nintendo lost me with the N64. :sm:

That wasn't even witty. You could have at least made a pun like Lamecube or something. You do not get a cookie.

Now hold on here. You've NEVER played the GameCube? How can you possibly say it sucks then? (?)

As a Nintendo Fanboy through and through, I'm going with the Revolution. Xbox 360 was much too rushed, and I don't think Sony will be able to compare.

You know what bugs me? People come up with preconceived notions about everything.

For example, this forum is absolutely chock-full of Nintendo fanboys (whom God hates, by the way.)

Now, I like Nintendo, but the thing that really gets to me are the people who refuse to even try a Playstation or Xbox game. Come on. Final Fantasy. Metal Gear. Grand Theft Auto. Hitman. To a lesser extent, Halo.

There are some quality games coming out for all three systems. I personally think PS3 will be best, with Revolution a close second. They all deserve a chance, though.

The moral is, don't dismiss a system simply because it isn't from the company you feel loyal to. Play for the games.

I don't know why I just put so much effort into that post, but...uh...yeah, I don't have a "but."

;)

See, that's why I'm glad I don't really care about the system. I like the games.

My personal preference is for Playstation, as you don't have to do anything to it to have a DVD player.

I think it's funny how some people are REALLY anti-Microsoft, yet immediately dismiss any system that isn't XBox..

As for Nintendo fanboys, I haven't heard nearly as many, "SONY SUCKS XBOX SUCKS, NINTENDO ONLY!!" posts as I've heard "NINTENDO SUCKS" posts.

I've heard you say this many times, Jitka, and it makes me angrier each time you say it. Some fanboys, yes, they won't even touch a PlayStation because they're too loyal to Nintendo or whatever. But we're not all that blind. I, myself have played PS2 and Xbox on many occasions, and from personal experience, I still think Nintendo is better. Just because someone perpetually thinks that one company is better and is dubbed "fanboy" doesn't mean that they won't give other companies a chance. So please, stop judging all of us as one. Not all of us dismiss a console just because of the company that makes it.

I've always been a Nintendo fan, so I voted Revolution.

But I'm sorta leaning towards PS3 this time around. No reason, really.

Well, yeah.. But a nintendo fan does not a nintendo fanboy make.

A lot of us that grew up in the 80's had our first gaming experiences on the Atari, but we really "matured" as gamers on the NES. It's hard not to let nostalgia keep us holding on to Mario and Link.

I owned a PS2 before I owned a GameCube, and I'll probably own a PS3 before I own a revolution (mainly because I love PS sports games, and the revolution isn't gonna directly support the old games, like by letting you plop the cartridge into it. Otherwise, I'd be Revolution all the way.)

Does anyone know for sure whether the Revolution is going to be technically inferior to the 360 and PS3 in the same way the Cube was to the XBox and PS2? (Technical specs are only part of the story to me... You can have a system that gives me the same quality graphics as looking out my window, but if the games aren't any good, who cares?)

Wow, was my joke a little too unnoticable?

Anyways, I know it has good qualities, but I know it also has bad qualities.

Compared to the other three, it has the worst graphics. Seriously.

Also, the game selection for the other two is better.

Now you're all gonna complain and be all like "WTC???? MARIO TARD!!!!". Let me tell you. Mario has been done to death. Along with Link. Donkey Kong. Even Metroid seems to be like that. I mean, sure, The old Mario games ARE good. But the new ones...well, you can put Mario in anything, and it'll be a best seller. Then expect 12-34 sequels on it.

I admit I am not a Nintendo fan. I do not find their games appealing, or worthwhile. They also have the record for most movies made out of games. It seems like it's just there for the money.

Alright, I'll tell you my reason of being so biased. Early on when I started playing video games, I happened on a few message boards. Upon exploring, I found a few different game boards. The system they seemed to be bashing most was the GameCube. I was also going to get one once, but my brother and my mom showed me it's downsides.

I know that many of you are Nintendo fans. I do not think of you wrongly for this, I say that if you like them, go ahead, I'll stick with what I have.

It also seems that Nintendo is improving with the Revolution. I'll have to check it out.

So in closing, don't sick your rabid GameCube instincts on me. I have a right to an opinion, and don't flame me for it.(Don't call me a fanboy either. In response to your comment about gamer's fighting, well, it's hard to resist.)

Also, I know that most of you hate me for having a different opinion. I knew it back in July, I know it know. I might leave again.
