Okay! You guys already know about the other two TEF Dictionaries, so I won't go into any of that. This is the third edition, and focuses around the sage advice that we older Forumgoers can give to obvious newbies and lesser n00bs.

To contribute: you must have been here for at least a month, and have over 50 posts. Both these can be debatable, however. Post advice to younglings here in easy-to-understand format, and they will be added to the dictionary. Normal users can contribute one piece of advice (for now), while admin/mods can submit two.

Get it, got it, doubt it. Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Current Amount of Advice: 27

Never ever hold a grudge, against anyone or anything. It's counterproductive.
--Prof. Tor Coolguy

Don't ever spam, yell, or come looking for a fight; if you obey this, good friendships will most certainly follow.
--Acekirby

Only post if you have something good to add to the topic. Post counts mean nothing if they're all "LOL wtf? I like Spam... A lot!" posts.
--JelloB

The mods are always right!
--Neo

Ever heard of the search button?
--Mr. Sparkle

If you get a warning from a mod or an admin for whatever reason, don't make them give you another one.
--ModestlyHotGirl (Moderator)

Don't start your posting career by reviving old threads. It's allowed, but people don't like it.
--Lunar Jesty (Moderator)

That little number after "Posts:" means absolutely nothing, so stop acting like it's the most important thing you have going on this forum.
--Dark Grapefruit (Moderator)

Don't post everywhere asking about a specific term you heard. This annoys people to no end. Look in The TEF Dictionary or PM someone who knows instead.
--The Experimental Film

You know we have a wiki, right?
--Color Printer

Making a lot of topics is a good way to become very unpopular.
--MagicHero

Always use proper punctuation, you don't have to quote someone in every post, and try to make your posts at least two sentences of something relating to the topic. If you have something else to say, say it, but then get back on track.
--JohnTheTinyCowboy

Always read the actual thread before posting at all.
--Cmarbagoi

Remember the edit button. It is your friend.
--The Smiling Assassin

Emoticons mean nothing but emotions; if you're feeling a bit sad, use Strong Sad; if you're feeling a bit Coach Z, use Coach Z. Just don't use them to replace words.
--Shishu Hiwatari

Respect comes from posts worth reading. A little humor helps too.
--Utard

The road to popularity starts with not wanting it.
--Lunar Jesty (Moderator)

Above all else, have fun (but not at others' expense). Don't take yourself too seriously, here.
--StrongCanada

ur n0t t3h 0nly 1 who findz t3h 53c0nd half of this sentence easier to read than the first.
--Suicune64

Never neglect the Fanstuff Wiki!
--Ekul

If you have an obvious question or comment, please search for an existing thread on it and post in that thread.
--TimTheTinyGiant

Post for quality, not quantity.
--iKipapa

Remember, we're all your friends here.
--1-Up Cheatachu

Respect the decision of the Admins and Mods. They're doing the best they can.
--The Cup of Coffee

Tell us your favorite food. Tell us your favorite color. Don't tell us your real name or home address. If it's personal enough to allow a weirdo to find you in real life, it shouldn't be posted here.
--Ungurait#7

Don't try so hard to be funny. Jokes that seem forced always lose a little something. Besides, no one's funnier than me.
--AgentSeethroo (Administrator)

Follow the sig size rule. Don't make Baby MHG cry.
--ModestlyHotGirl (Moderator)

Err...is it forum advice, or life advice? I chose forum, but I guess it could apply to life, too.

Here's my first piece of advice:

If you get a warning from a mod or an admin for whatever reason, don't make them give you another one.

I'm OK with resurrecting threads, but I hate those stupid BUMP posts! If you want to bring a topic back to the first page, post something meaningful. You should if you want it back so bad.

In other words, don't post just for the sake of posting, like JelloB and DG said.

This is coming out great. Any chance of a sticky?

Oh, and do you think I should add "Read This First" or something to the title?

It's sage advice for what to do on the HRWiki Forum. It's geared toward the newbies.

it can make a big hack attack

ps.this is one big scentance

Advice: Don't post things like that. Try to make sense.
