How H*R.com stays the same size wheather you stretch or shrink the window, but with Videlectrix, the whole site shrinks as you shrink the window? Just wondering if anybody knows why. It kinda puzzles me. Hopefully I explained it adaquetly.

That's because Hoiemstarrunner is completely flash, and it doesn't shrink. Videlectrix's site is text. and it can shrink... kinda.

Because that's how they chose to make the site.

If you want the toons on H*R.com to expand when you change the size of the browser, you can always just use the Greasemonkey script.



Pay no attention to this man. The Videlectrix site if all Flash, too. It's just a difference in how they made the two sites.

Yeah, with a text site, using CSS and/or frames and stuff, you can make it so they wont' shrink or will shrink in different ways.

Hmmm...

Will I be evicerated if I ask what Greasemonkey is?

(And so the answer to the original question is: they're both flash, they just set up different options or whatnot so one shrinks and one doesn't?)

It's because the Videlectrix site has it so the Flash takes up 80% of your browser's window. The Homestar Runner site keeps all the Flash things at a fixed width. There's a difference in the HTML.
