Is their any way to download/install Strong Bads computer program? You know, when you type something(ex. run strongbad_email.exe) and it appears?

Um... What version of Windows do you have?

Usually you can click "Start", click "Run...", type "command", and click "OK". That'll open a DOS prompt pretty similar to Strong Bad's Compy. None of the programs Strong Bad uses will work on your computer. They are not real programs, but merely a parody of how old DOS systems used to work.

Windows XP doesn't have DOS, only a DOS emulation.

To to:
Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
to start the DOS emulation

Incedentally, I don't think the Compy uses DOS, but some imaginary Compy operating system. He types "run sb_email.exe" or "run strongbad_email.exe"... DOS would just be "sb_email" or "strongbad_email".

Actually, he doesn't type run. He did that on the old Tandy. Now he just types the name of the executable.

Ooh OK thanks ^_^

a> isn't a standard prompt though (used in the actual emails)

c:/> is (used on the menu page)

Wonder why they used different ones?

He wouldn't need to type ".exe" though. DOS searches for the ".com" and ".exe" files when you type a command.

Yeah, but typing .exe doesn't hurt anything and you can do it.

Anyways, who knows? Maybe his e-mail program is on a floppy?

Maybe if I get really bored this summer I'll write a Tandy 400/Compy 386 "emulator". :)

Have you tried using the popular search engine Google?

Really. Try it. I found this site fairly easily.

Though remember, if you are running Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows NT, you are only really running the cmd.exe shell.

Dang, dude. Google is your solution to everything.

Someone: "Ow, I broke my leg off"
Tom: "Have you tried using the popular search engine Google?"

Someone: "THERE'S A SNIPER AFTER ME! WHAT DO I DO!?!?"
Tom: "Have you tried using the popular search engine Google?"

Someone: "Holy crap, the world just exploded..."
Tom: "Have you tried using the popular search engine Google?"

Well...I guess it's better than my solution to everything: "Gimme a dollar and I'll tell you what to do." ..... and then I run away...

Agent Josh.

Google search results:
1. first aid for broken bones
2. where to find camouflage
3. how to build a fallout shelter
4. how to stretch a dollar

I can't believe the incredible power of the popular search engine Google. Why, it's even more powerful than Febreze.

Remember kids, Febreze solves everything!

Who would win: a ninja with a bottle of Febreze, or Strong Bad using the popular search engine Google?

Surely the popular search engine Google is bound to be biased in this case? I don't think we can trust its judgement.

Actually, I tried many other variants in the interest of fairness. Here's a sample...

Google search results:
1. Febreze
2. Strong Bad using the popular search engine -Google (notice the exclusion of the word "Google")

Oddly enough, making sure the word "Google" wasn't in the results, Google still beats Febreze, this time by the score of 140,000 to 28,100.

I still think it would be better to ask an impartial third party (the not-quite-as-popular earch engine Yahoo, for instance) just for the record.

I'll give it a go...

Yahoo search results:
1. ninja with a bottle of Febreze
2. Strong Bad using the popular search engine Google

Strong Bad and Google win again, this time 112,000 to 18.

Lycos search results:
1. ninja with a bottle of Febreze
2. Strong Bad using the popular search engine Google

Strong Bad and Google win again, this time 21,931 to 16.

GOOOOOOOOOGLEWHACK!!!!!

...

You've never heard of "Googlewhack"? Well, apparantly, all you have to do is combine a set of words in the search engine, and if only one match comes up, you've found a Googlewhack. Helps if you only use two words. Thing is, it's harder than it sounds. I typed in "Hankatola, and it gave me four matches. Yes, google is that good.
You could try to see if you could find some Googlewhacks related to Homestar. Tell you what, if someone can find the most number of Googlewhacks, they will definately not receive a cookie from me.

For those confused by the Lad, Googlewhacking is an ancient meme from way back in 2002. Think All Your Base, but more interactive and less fun.

Anyway, you should read the rules, Lad. Your words have to be in the dictionary (more specifically, Dictionary.com's dictionaries), which means a whack with "Hankatola" in it sure doesn't count, nor do most proper nouns.

Grr, now you've got me trying to get a Googlewhack. I got a few back in the day. The closest I can get now is cyanotype perigee.

Hmm... Your definition is a bit off. You might want to check the official rules.

See, this one wouldn't work, since the word "Hankatola" isn't in the dictionary.

Ha! I spoke too soon.

cyanotype jangle

(BTW, it's customary to put -googlewhack at the end of your query to exclude pages which mention Googlewhacking.)

Time for another challenge. This time, Strong Bad with a bottle of Febreze vs. Ninja using the popular search engine Google.
