Bathtubs have locks?!?

In The Best Decemberween Ever, Strong Sad complains about always getting "locked in the bathtub". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think bathtubs usually have locks.

Some shower tubs have little hooks on the outside to keep the door closed so that water doesn't get by. Strong Bad probably modded it to keep his weakling of a brother locked in. Or it could be one of those "when you think about it, it doesn't make any sense" jokes that are funny because when you think about it, it doesn't make any sense.

But even if the bathroom was locked, Strong Sad could still get out of the bathtub. There is a slight difference.
Oh and porplemontage, that IS a good theory. I was thinking about that. This is what I saw when I tried to picture it:
1. Strong Bad duct taped [my] hook handle to the wall and that made Strong Sad locked in.
2. But I still don't understand why someone would build a bathtub with cabinet doors, or how Strong Sad could fit in it, or why Strong Bad was wearing a purple thing. Maybe this is some sort of subliminal reference to "sibbie"
3. Yeah, the thing that doesn't make sense: Why would Strong Sad say it? He is totally serious and has no humor (excluding Andy Griffith's head taped to a TV.

There are bathtubs out there with doors. They are made for people who have trouble climbing over the bathtub wall or getting down into the bathtub.

Perhaps Strong Sad prefers to use one of these types of tubs.

Yeah, that is a weird picture. What they prob meant is that Strong Sad was getting locked in the bathroom, which is possible, trust me, it's happened to me. (stupid older brothers...)

No, my brothers switched the door handle on me, so they could lock me in. That's with me at least. Maybe Strong Bad did the same to Strong Sad.

Well, he certaintly can't do much with those boxing gloves... except type with them. Maybe The Cheat does that kinda stuff for him. Who knows.

Can't you just wrap the bathtub with chains and then put a huge padlock on it?

When I was a kid, and I went to my grandparent's place, there was a toilet kind of outside the house that was attached to the house. Anyway, for some strange reason, it had a lock on both the inside AND the outside, so someone could really come up and lock you in the bathroom. Scare'd!

I'll never understand why people have locks on the outside of rooms... a lot of the rooms in my great-aunt's house are like that.

I'm quite sure, like said, that he meant locked in the bathroom rather than bathtub. You ever notice how sometimes you're saying something and use a real weird word for it instead of the right one? Like, locking a handle rather than a door, or starting the key rather than the car, or digging a ground rather than a hole in the ground? Strong Bad recently made a weird talking error "You don't understand! You ALL understand! I mean, don't understand!" So Strong Sad has a chance of doing so as well

You can be locked in my shower/bathtub(you could climb out but it's one heck of a climb, awful uncomfortable to do not dressed, and you risk breaking the door). We have a sliding door, and it's possible to lock, albeit extremely complex and difficult. Like, it's not meant to be locked- you could chain the handles to the towel racks on the walls making the doors impossible to move. Or put a metal piece between the doors so they're stuck.
