Why yes, the sictom was called 21 Jump Street, and it starred, among others, a very young Johnny Depp. :P

Ha. Now I have an image in my head of The Cheat as Johnny Depp. XD

Or Johnny Depp as The Cheat? I mean, I know he's played a wide range of characters but...

I remember trying to make a Homestar Universe. However, I wanted to play fairly so they all got jobs. And lived under one roof for a time. Basically, it was Homestar, Marzipan, The Cheat, Bubs, Strong Sad, Strong Mad and Strong Bad and Pom Pom. I made a second version, but since it starts in college it gets boring. Plus it seems more boring (yet faster) on this computer than my sister's, where the origianl version has. Basically... there's children. I made some characters get wives. Homestar's first kid was named in honor of Benedetto. Frank Benedetto Runner.

But I'll scrap this computer's version and try to make a canon one.

If COLA's talking about who I think he's talking about, ExtremeJon is a user on here. He's the guy that made the Clan Rules comic that's found in the Arts and Crafts board.

Hmm, well, sorry to bother you there, Jon.

Progress seems to be coming along on SB's house now... I had to improvise to pull off the basement thing though. That is, I dropped the terrain and built a "first floor," then built a second floor on it and raised the terrain to normal height as close to the house as I could. So we ended up with sort of a ditch around the house until I learn how to do basements the right way. :P

It's not done yet, but I've made enough progress to show a few screens...

First, the basement. Here's the index picture I worked off of.
Image
And now, the Sims version...
Image
The wall pattern needs some improvement to make it more precise, and I need to make the couch a little darker orange, and give it the famous patch.

Wait a minute, is that the Trogdor arcade game sittin' there?! Yup...
Image

As pointed out in the wiki's description of the basement, there must be two ways to enter, since characters are regularly seen coming from both sides. That's been taken into account as well. The doorway you saw on the right in the first shot will lead to a hallway, as well as Strong Bad's bedroom and a stairway up. In this shot, you also see a stairway leading straight into the basement room.
Image

That's all that's done of the basement. An overall view of that floor now...
Image

Let's head upstairs, shall we?
First, let's look at my index picture of the computer room, as well as the wiki's description.
Image
The Computer Room is directly above Strong Bad's Basement, as can be seen in Sbemail 150?!?. It appears to be extremely long (front to back) and has at least three doors to the right. As seen in the email dragon, it is large enough to contain a number of long wooden tables.

Image

On the left you can see the uncarpeted area where The Cheat's lightswitch would go, along with the window where the tree branches rub to make the "Douglas" sound. The lighting isn't recessed, unfortunately, but that's as close as we can get. Even "No Loafing" is present, along with a stairway to the left leading down into the basement. (The stairway is behind a little half-wall there on the left...you can't see the stairs themselves in these shots...but you saw the bottom of them in the basement pics.)

An overall view of this floor (so far):
Image
That square room in the left corner will be Strong Sad's.

Aaaand outside:
Image
Yeah, I still need to decorate the outside some. Notice the "Douglas" tree too.

Finally, look over those pics once more while keeping these guidelines in mind from the wiki:

Quote:
Very little is known about the layout of the rooms; here is what has been gathered:

The front door (or the most used exit) is to the right when facing Strong Bad's computer in the Computer Room.
Another entrance may exist to the left, as Homsar enters that way in the email interview. Hovever, this may simply be evidence of another of Homsar's odd powers.
Strong Bad's Basement and The Cheat's Computer Room are accessed to the left when facing the computer.
Strong Sad's Room is directly behind Strong Bad when he sits at his computer.
The Computer Room is directly above Strong Bad's Basement, as can seen in Sbemail 150?!?. It appears to be extremely long (front to back) and has at least three doors to the right. As seen in the email dragon, it is large enough to contain a number of long wooden tables.

Oh yeah, I haven't put in the tables yet. That and the couch, and the basement's wallpaper will come next.

Wowee! Mightily impressive!

Unfortunately, it looks like you might have to make up some of the furniture, 'cuz those rooms look a little empty. Not your fault, though. I mean, really, it looks spiff-tastic.

Yeah, it's definitely not done yet. :) I still gotta put in standard Sims-like things required for living...bathrooms, a kitchen, someplace to eat...so those things will take up some room too. :)

Whoa. Awesome.

...I think making the -house- a bit smaller would help...there's just so much room there, and so little to go by on how to fill it all up~

Nice! I don't know very much about The Sims 2, but I'm hoping that I can get it soon. It looks awesome so far!

Woah! That's awesome! I didn't know you could customize so much, how'd you make the arcade game?

I agree with Checkbot, though, you should make it a bit smaller. There's not much you need to nput in there.

But this... this has to be the most awesome thing I've seen this week.

To get the game plus all 3 expansion packs could run around $100 or so... although torrents could help you with that... >_>

It's easier to erase extra foundation that I don't need than to add more if the place turns out too small...so yeah, once I've done all I can, I'll remove some space from one side of the house and spruce up the terrain a bit.

As for making the Trogdor arcade game, there is an arcade game (something called Pimp Viking 3) item that comes with Sims 2... So I used SimPE (which can extract the game's items and textures to create new ones), modified the texture and replaced the viking-looking stuff with images straight out of the "Arcade Game" toon...and poof. ;)

As far as I know, there's not a laptop item to be used, so SB is on Compy 386 for now. ;)

Man... This stuff is a lot of hard work, I'm sure. I only do clothes, and haven't done them in a while, and I know how time-consuming that is. So good job, y'all. Keep it up! Very impressive.

More sentence fragments. Kate. Is. So.Tired.

Thanks, y'all... I'm thinking I may need to modify the layout of the house as a whole a bit though... The kitchen has never been shown or mentioned, but anytime something has to do with food (Homestar borrowing the fondue pot, or getting a sandwich for The Poopsmith), people go to the left of the computer. Right now the only things left of the computer are the entrance to the basement, and Strong Sad's room. So anyway, once I get back from work today, that'll probably be my project.

I'm looking forward to Strong Badia myself too... Though I'm not sure how I'll do the stop sign on the ground... We'll see. :)

One tiny little detail you need in there Jack fromwhat I see. In the strongbad_email.exe Disc One introduction it shows Strong Bad walking into the computer room from the left and flicking on the lightswitch, where you just have the window.

Other than that tiny little thing, this looks great. I tried to do use Sims just regularly, and failed miserably. You freaking rock.

I personally see them as having a total 80's kitsch-en. You know, lame formlerly trendy products and stuff like that... I mean, they DO own a fondue pot. :P

However, fondue pots rock majorly. Mmmmmm.

Screenshots submitted for Fanstuff ;)

No more to show just yet. Though I did shrink the basement room, placed the couch DIRECTLY under SB's stool (so that the trap door would be lined up right if it was actually here)... And now that I've done THAT much, I need to move it all to the right a bit so I can have that kitchen to the left of the computer room! :bubs:
