Maybe they could do one that involves The Cheat having a sentimental past and he would have a former owner and leave Strong Bad for said owner, much to Strong Bad's sadness, wishing he would return. It turns out, however, that The Cheat is simply going to Marzipan's. It could be a plot similar to "Snoopy Come Home". In fact, I can see it being called "The Cheat Come Home".

A Homestar movie probably wouldn't be a worthy endeavor, but a Homestar off-broadway musical on the other hand, that might be something something....something.

PS; Yes, I already know about SBEMAIL, but Strong Bad himself admitted that that was a train wreck.

Well, if they DID do a movie (fat chance), what do you think the film would be rated? I think it will be (according to different countries, esp. those in the emails):

ARGENTINA: ATP (Suitable for all ages, ATP stands for "Apta (para) Todo Público", meaning "for all public")
AUSTRALIA: G (For general exhibition)
CANADA: G (General)
GERMANY: FSK o.Al (For all ages)
JAPAN: G (General Audiences)
POLAND: Green circle (For everyone)
SWEDEN: BTL (Barntillåten; suitable for all ages)
TAIWAN: "G" (General audiences may all view.)
UK: U (Universal)
USA: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)

Now, of course, that's just my opinions; countries chosen are those coming from SBEMAILS. Those are just the ratings I think would be used if they ever did do a Homestar Runner movie.

I think it'd be the most inclusive rating everywhere. Why do you say it'd be G in Australia and Canada and PG in the UK and the US?

How do you know if people will react in exactly the same manner?

Australia and Canada aren't that different from the US and the UK. People in the US tend to make more of a fuss about censorship, but this is Homestar Runner. It's not the most offensive cartoon ever.

Then I'm guessing the US should be the only place to feature a PG rating?

Well, it would be great, if it were "Feature-Length." And by that I mean "Thirty-some-din minutes." And it would feature the return of all the rejected characters, and be up for download. Or maybe go the way of retirement, and have several episodes that equal a huge plot. I want to do that kinda thing, with comics, but I don't have Gimp. That's what they say to use.

Wrong. It worked perfectly for Knox's Klaymen (my second favorite webtoon)http://www.knoxskorner.com/klayworld/index.php Off Topic: YAY! My first post!

NOOOOO!

That would ruin ALL of H*R for everybody! Do you guys realize how horrible that would be? Even 30-minute TV shows ruin their show with a feature. 5 minute web shows would be WORSE!

No

Nah, I don't think they should make a movie, at least not a real one. A fake trailer or something maybe, but not a real in-theatres thing. Homestar is a net toon, and should remain as such.

NO!!!

THAT WOULD SUCK!!!

Homestar is served in 3-7 minute chunks for a reason, it would get boring, repetitive, and retarded after 20 min.

Homestar Runner isn't the kind of humor that can stay funny on one subject. Each toon has a different subject giving off new ploys and jokes, making overall better comedy.

A movie/ TV show would suck. It would stop being funny.
How it is is awesome and amazingly super.

THE BROTHERS CHAPS: KEEP ON, KEEPIN' ON! (The internet stuff.)

Seriously. Anyone who's done a SBemailathon know that it gets a little sour around email 20 and watching 90 minutes worth of H*R content would be horrifying.

it would be a disaster, in that the whole site would be different after, more commercial and less... homebrew. Also, TBC don't like the tedious animating, and have said so repeatedly. Making a movie would be torture.

It does? I've watched every single Email front to back in one day and they never get old.

Like I said before though. An ordinary H*R movie would not be the way to go, but a H*R musical could and very likely would kick arse.

That is screwed up. =P

I can see myself sitting through a Homestar musical. They should definitely do that.

Well, for once, I would like a little plot. but no, no movie. My favorite part of Homestar is the undergroundness. Maybe a half hour cartoon with a lot of plot and drama, I like

But in the end they come back together.

Maybe Strong Sad could finally explode and yell at Strong Bad. Then he'd run away and SB would realize he needs Strong Sad. But after he finds Strong Sad he goes back to his normal bullying self.

The cheat becomes extremely sick.

I know whenever TBC tries to do something serious it just turns into satire, but I think they could combine Drama and Comedy without it just being stupid

That'd be awesome. There's a chance I'll steal your idea and write it into a fanfic, would you mind if I did that?

You people are idiots! A homestar runner movie would be the greatest thing EVER!!!! Why?

A.May cost some, but TBC would make HORDES of cash by it...
B. More Homestar = More entertainment!
and
C. It would rule!!!

They could go
:hr: vs. :sb:
or
:trogdor: vs. :homsar: (that would end quick!)
or
:trogdor: and :sb: meet
or
:hr: breaks up w/ :marzi: (not that I want it, but it would be neat!)

But, like I said earlyer, Homestar Runner humor is better in small chunks. The way HR makes things funny WOULD NOT WORK with a hour and three quarter long story line.

I think it would take a very long time, but it would be pretty good.

And just look at that Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. They took a ten-minute cartoon and turned it into a movie WHILE still putting episodes on TV.

I would buy the Homestar Runner DVD movie, if it existed...

No H*R is better left as a web cartoon if they made a movie they would make a giant Shark-jump.

Oh goodness, no! Homestar and company are best in short cartoons. Besides, if TBC made one the Homestar universe would totally jump the shark.

Just like someone else said, you can't stretch a 5-minute net cartoon into a full-blown big screen movie.

I disagree. The Simpsons started out as 1 minute shorts, and there is a simpsons movie comeing out next year.

Whats with the "comeing" Pronouncation: Kow-May-ing Well anyways yeah I kinda disagree...Except if SB's starring! :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :senor: :sb: And if Strong Sad got cooler     :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb:

Have the Chaps considered ever doing a Homestar-based feature film (movie)?

Sure it would cost a great deal of money, but would they ever do it? Rack in a couple hundred thousand dollars, no I'm just joking, at least slightly.

I mean, I'd go to it!
