Which is better? I say ruffled 'cause they're just more fun.

I usually prefer a ruffled texture with barbecue chips, but everything else seems to be fine regular.

Regular. Ruffles make it easier to butcher your gums

Ruffled. They're usually thicker and stronger, better for dipping. Also, I think it gives the chip a little more finess.

Flat. Ruffled has less flavor.

Here's my thoughts:
plain potato chips, flat has more flavor and better texture.
Flavored chips, ruffled chips have more flavor.
I have no favorite.

But it does affect the amount of dip a chip can reasonably hold, and that does affect taste.
