I like to watch them, though I guess that I'll light them from time-to-time.

I like to watch them and occasionally use them, but they are dangerous and I never want to do idiotic things with them.

I've always loved watching fireworks, but never really have liked shooting them off in my yard.

I like to watch fireworks... we in Vancouver got the Festival of Lights every year, which is amazing to watch down at the beach. But I'd probably have to say I enjoy lighting fireworks off more. See us Canadians don't have the 4th of July, so Halloween becomes our "celebrate the birth of your country by blowing up a small part of it". So we head out on the cold, dark night of Halloween and wreak terror upon the neighborhood. Much fun.

What about New Years Eve? I thought that was the international time when everyone goes fireworks-mad. That's when they have the biggest displays around here, and when anyone who has illegal fireworks can usually get away with it.

Anyway, watching fireworks is nowhere near as fun as letting them off. Partly because of the whole "omg lololol i'm breaking teh lawz!!!" aspect of it.

New Years isn't that much of an explosion-fest up here. We're all about the New Years Eve parties.

I love watching fireworks, especially the ones that were set off inside that cranky old man's house.

I once made a rocket launcher out of paper towel cardboard tubes. A pop-rocket got caught in it, and I had to toss the launcher as far as I could. Thing 'sploded.

I like watching fireworks. I do not like the people who start setting off fireworks a week before the holiday in question.

Actually, me and some friends were almost arrested last night for screwing around with fireworks.

Apparently, one of the people hanging out with us hit a mailbox. PRO TIP: Dont hit mail boxes. I know a guy who smashed a mailbox with a baseball bat like 6 years ago, and HES STILL IN JAIL. How ridiculous is that?

Anyway, the cop let us off with a warning, because he saw that we didnt intend to hit the mailbox. We were aiming for the birdbath.

It's not where he lives, damaging a mailbox is a federal crime.

while frivolous spending like fireworks are good ways to stimulate the economy, I just can't see how the market for them continues, and therefore I remain uncaring either way.

Bwave lives in NY near some town called Poughkeepsie or something.
