Why no music in Media forum?

It makes perfect sense to me to include music threads in the Media subforum, but apparently it doesn't to you. I'm not putting you down or anything, it's not a big deal, but I'd just like to know your reasoning for not putting those threads in. Could someone explain to me the logic behind this decision?

No, it makes sense, we just wanted to keep them in OSD. We didn't want too much in Media, and we think the kinds of topics currently in Media will easily be enough to make it just active enough.

That doesn't make sense to me. "Just active enough"? Off-Subject has more activity than any other board. That doesn't mean we should move topics that belong there somewhere else. Some forums just end up being more active than others, whaddya gonna do, so I think you might as well put things where they belong. Just my opinion.

I see what you mean, but I never said I wanted the Internet stuff moved. Then again, I dunno. Maybe you're right. No matter what happens, it's not a big deal anyway. I'm not going to boycott the forum or anything.

That doesn't make sense to me. "Just active enough"? Off-Subject has more activity than any other board. That doesn't mean we should move topics that belong there somewhere else. Some forums just end up being more active than others, whaddya gonna do, so I think you might as well put things where they belong. Just my opinion.

Sorry, I didn't really phrase that right (and I'm still not sure the right way to, so I'm not gonna try). Fact is, even though it's called the Media forum, it's not. It's the TV, Video Games and Movies forum. But there was no short and simple way to call it that so it ended up as Media.

I just don't get why there was a problem with the way it was before. Internet and Music in OSD. TV, Movies, Vidyas in Media. That way the discussions in both are split and make for better forums and more activity. If we add anything else to Media then there wouldn't be enough leeway to make separate threads for each say, TV show, and we'd be back to "All things Television" threads. And if we take music out of OSD, then there's no way we could make all the threads for each genre of music.
