One thing I found myself thinking about recently: I read that Andrew Hussie, who runs the mspaintadventures.com webcomic site, closed off submissions for the forum of suggested ways for the comic to go because there were so many submissions that he found himself just picking the one that matched what he was going to do anyway. I wondered how much that happened to TBC- as in, they decided what they wanted a SBemail to be about, and then searched through the inbox for an e-mail that would go with it. The e-mails "taken in a different direction" as the wiki says, might have been done this way. So, I wonder if the popularity of SBemails might have had some effect on the topics of the e-mails used, moving more toward what TBC wanted to do as opposed to what the best e-mails sent in were.
